Step into the role

Your day starts with a site walk where fiber splicing wrapped up overnight. You review test results for Cat 6 terminations, align the access-control installer on door hardware, and confirm camera angles with the client’s security lead. Back at your desk, you refine an Accubid estimate, propose a change order for an owner-initiated scope tweak, and close out a completed fire alarm phase—on schedule and on budget.

What you’ll lead

Project portfolio

• Data cabling (Cat 5 & 6 termination and testing)
• CCTV systems (cameras, power supplies, and field deployment)
• Card access (door strikes, card readers, power supplies)
• Fiber optics (installation, terminations, splicing, testing)
• Fire alarm systems (IDC/SLC circuits, device install, troubleshooting)

Leadership

• Inspire and motivate technicians; model best practices and safety
• Give clear direction to field teams and coordinate subcontractors
• Set personal and team goals that drive growth
• Control subcontractor costs and timelines
• Keep multiple projects organized and moving with crisp communication
• Ensure work complies with the National Electric Code (NEC)
• Make timely, confident decisions to maintain momentum

Customer relationships

• Build lasting trust with attentive service and high‑quality delivery
• Be accessible, responsive, and solutions‑oriented
• Balance client priorities with project profitability
• Communicate seamlessly with customers, electricians, suppliers, and subcontractors

Estimating and controls

• Interpret blueprints and electrical specifications
• Quantify materials and labor requirements
• Develop accurate proposals using Accubid software
• Explain costs and scope clearly to stakeholders
• Anticipate cost impacts and pursue change orders when warranted

What you bring

• Proven experience managing low‑voltage electrical projects
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
• Proficiency with Accubid estimating software
• Hands‑on expertise across data cabling, CCTV, card access, fiber optics, and fire alarm systems

You should be proficient in: Project Management; Video Surveillance (CCTV)
