Business and Operations Student Worker
Hourly Pay Rate: $15.00
The Business and Operations Intern will support the administrative and operational functions of the Tulane Cancer Center. This role provides hands-on experience in research administration, financial operations, and shared resource management, while assisting with day-to-day activities that support faculty, staff, and center-wide initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative support, including organizing, copying, scanning, and data entry
- Support the writing and formatting of documents, reports, and presentations
- Conduct basic online research as needed for reports, presentations, or projects related to the Cancer Center's initiatives
- Assist in the planning and execution of events, workshops, meetings, and seminars, including logistics, scheduling, and participant communications
- Support seminar operations, including preparing materials, assisting with setup, coordinating day-of logistics, and helping ensure meetings run smoothly
- Distribute and post seminar and event flyers across campus buildings to promote awareness and attendance
- Assist with data entry and maintenance in iLabs, including entering service requests, updating records, and supporting shared resource tracking
- Generate and compile iLabs reports to support usage metrics, internal tracking, and operational reporting needs
- Cooperate with other staff members and departments within the Cancer Center to ensure smooth operations and support ongoing projects
- Maintain a clean and organized office environment, including managing supplies and equipment
- Support special projects as assigned by the administrative team
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Perform other related duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
- A Federal Work Study Award (potentially)
