Job Summary/Description/Physical Demands
The NASWSI student aide supports the daily operations and long-term goals of the Institute. The student aide will report to the Director of NASWSI. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting Director with various administrative tasks, organizing recruitment events, trainings and meetings, attending professional trainings/conferences. Opportunities for leadership, reflection, and professional development will be built into the job experience. Work may be performed remotely or in an office setting (at the Rio Rancho/Albuquerque Center) and in tribal/non-tribal agencies and communities throughout New Mexico.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be registered for Fall 2026 courses in good standing. Minimum enrollment of 6 credit hours.
Education requirement: High School Diploma/GED
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the history and contemporary life ways of the Apache, Pueblo, and Dine people in New Mexico;
Some retail, customer service, or support service experience.
Preferred Skills
Reliable and dependable;
Intermediate computer skills (proficiency preferred in Zoom, Canva and Microsoft software including Microsoft Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Excel);
Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
Professionalism in all settings.
