Description

Position Overview:

In conjunction with the Operations Manager, the Mather Center Student Assistants will support the daily operations of the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women. In addition, Mather Center Student Assistants will support the planning, implementation, and publicity of programs and events associated with the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests, answer phone calls, and assist with questions

  • Direct visitors to the lactation room and provide an orientation, if needed

  • Restock snacks/coffee, giveaways, and other items at the front of the Mather Center

  • Support the general maintenance and upkeep of the office and storage closets

  • Keep track of inventory and keep inventory organized

  • Photocopy and distribute events flyers and other marketing materials

  • Label and distribute mass mailings

  • Support the office staff in program preparation, implementation, evaluation, and other assigned tasks

  • Manage on-site set-up and clean-up of Mather Center events

  • Other minor duties as assigned

Compensation

  • $14.00 per hour

  • Federal Work Study preferred

  • Day and evening shifts

Qualifications:

Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time degree-seeking undergraduate student at CWRU

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to use Google Workspace and interest in learning new software as necessary

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • The ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment

  • Must be self-motivated with excellent time, organizational, and project management skills

  • The ability to work under pressure in a very busy environment

  • Able to maintain confidentiality

  • Desire to learn about social justice issues
