POSITION: Student Services Specialist

LOCATION: NDSCS - Fargo, North Dakota

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time, 12-month, benefited position

JOB SUMMARY: The Student Services Specialist serves as a primary front-line resource for prospective, new, and continuing students at the NDSCS Fargo locations. This position provides integrated support across the areas of Financial Aid, Admissions, Records and Registration, and Business Affairs, while assisting with administrative support duties as needed. The Student Services Specialist will work closely with Enrollment Services, Business Affairs, Student Affairs, NDSCS Fargo, and other NDSCS departments to implement strategies for enrollment growth and student learning and development. The Student Services Specialist is responsible for supporting the Values, Mission, and Vision as established by the College.

Minimum Requirements

  • High level of initiative and independent problem-solving ability
  • Excellent written, verbal, and customer service communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while adapting to the evolving needs of students and the institution
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive and professional working relationships with students and staff across the institution
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and identities
  • Bachelor's degree in education, communication or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and similar software

  • Experience in college admissions, financial aid or business affairs

  • Experience with PeopleSoft or Perceptive Content

Additional Information

SALARY: $47,000-$53,000, commensurate with education and experience

BENEFITS: NDSCS offers a comprehensive benefits package with an estimated value of over $25,000. The package includes single or family health insurance coverage with premiums paid for by the College - with an effective date for new employees the first of the month following the date of hire. Optional benefits include life, dental, and vision insurance, a flexible spending account, and supplemental retirement plans.
