About Us

Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.

Job Summary

The Student Success Program Assistant supports the Department of Student Success by assisting with initiatives, program development, marketing, social media, and outreach efforts. This position helps to promote student success services, support first-year students, and contribute to a welcoming environment where students feel informed, connected, and

encouraged to engage with campus resources.

Responsibilities

Social Media and Digital Media

¿ Evaluate current efforts for relevance, connectedness, and usability

¿ Develop flyers, captions, posts, and reels to market our programs and services

¿ Capture photos and videos during workshops, events, and other departmental activities

¿ Create and schedule content for Student Success social media platforms

Marketing and Outreach

¿ Distribute flyers and promotional materials

¿ Develop strategies for increased student participation and awareness

¿ Assist with phone and email outreach to students as directed

Program and Event Coordination

¿ Assist with planning and preparing for workshops, events, programs, and tabling

sessions

¿ Support program logistics and assist with event setup, check-in, cleanup, and

engagement

¿ Assist with data entry and record maintenance

Required Qualifications

  • Current Albany State University student in good academic standing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with graphic design, photography, video editing, or content creation
  • Experience with Canva, Instagram, TikTok, Capcut, or related graphic design platforms
  • Interest in peer mentoring, event planning, and student success
