Pay Range: Targeted salary $60,400 annually, based on experience

Benefits Eligible: Yes

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (may include some weekends)

Position Introduction:

The Oklahoma Memorial Union (OMU) at the University of Oklahoma serves as a vibrant hub for campus life, bringing together students, faculty, staff, and visitors through dynamic programs, events, and services. We are seeking a highly organized and strategic leader to join our team as the Assistant Director of the Oklahoma Memorial Union. This role provides a unique opportunity to shape the University''s centralized scheduling system, oversee large-scale event operations, and lead innovative initiatives that enhance the campus experience across multiple locations. Reporting to the Director of the OMU, the Assistant Director plays a critical leadership role in managing scheduling systems, advancing operational efficiencies, and supervising both professional and student staff. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver with strong technical and operational expertise, and a high level of technical proficiency in utilizing and adapting to technology systems that support centralized scheduling, event operations, and process improvement, capable of balancing complex logistics while driving continuous improvement. This position is well-suited for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment and is passionate about supporting student engagement and institutional success.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor''s degree in higher education administration, business administration, hospitality management, or a related field.
  • 6 years of experience in event operations, campus scheduling, student union administration, facilities management, or related.

Department Preferences:

  • 12 months systems management experience.
