Student Worker - IT Help Desk

Job Summary:

Students will assist with Help Desk operations, by assisting staff to deploy and maintain university computer equipment and communicate information/processes with students, staff and faculty at the Help Desk.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Answering calls at the Help Desk.
• Entering tickets in the Help Desk system.
• Setting up equipment in various on-campus locations.
• Installing software and basic computer troubleshooting.
• Assisting students and faculty with computer operation.
• Cleaning equipment and changing printer toner cartridges.
• Transporting equipment throughout campus.
• Recording and maintaining inventory records.
• Assisting the Telecommunications team with wiring or other projects.
• Other duties as assigned

Education Employment eligibility:

• Currently enrolled Delaware Valley University student
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide required documentation to verify identity and employment eligibility

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Students must be able to carry monitors, computers, printers, and other equipment for on-campus transport. Up to 50 lbs.
• Computer experience recommended will train for all job functions.
• Occasionally lifting 25 lbs or more

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must hold valid driver's license (to drive the golf cart)
