    Job Description

    Job Summary:

    Lead Supplemental Instruction (SI) sessions for assigned courses (General Chemistry I/II, Algebra, and/or Calculus) based on guidance from course instructors, including review of course concepts and/or assisting students with assigned practice problems. Help students develop effective study and learning strategies for assigned courses.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Lead SI Sessions: assist students with solving assigned problems, understanding key course concepts, and selecting the best study strategies.
    • Meet/communicate with course instructors weekly regarding content for SI sessions.
    • Submit student attendance and/or other requested information to course instructors and/or the Associate Dean of Student Support.
    • Complete all communicated training requirements by the appropriate deadline(s).
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Education Employment eligibility:

    • Currently enrolled Delaware Valley University student.
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide required documentation to verify identity and employment eligibility.

    Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Must have completed relevant courses with a minimum grade of "B" at DelVal or must have completed the equivalent course(s)/subject(s) at another accredited college/university with a minimum grade of "B" as indicated on a transcript.
    • Must be recommended by a DVU faculty member.
    • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with peers and faculty members.
