SUCCESS CENTER PEER TUTOR (POOL)

Student Worker

The position of Success Center Peer Tutor is a pooled position and applications will be reviewed on an as needed, on-going basis.

Are you someone who is organized and innovative? A self-starter who is motivated, positive, and has a strong desire to help others? If yes, then this is the position for you!

As a Student Worker in the position of Success Center Peer Tutor, your primary role shall be tutoring individuals and/or small groups who request help in specific academic work. Peer Tutors will assist in building up student skills to encourage successful lifelong learning.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

• Be current UCC student with at least 6 credits.
• Maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher each term.
• Earned a A in the courses(s) tutored.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:

• Promote a positive, safe, friendly environment amongst students and staff of diverse cultures and educational levels.
• Previous tutoring experience.
