The Job Description For LCADC Consists Of The Typical Daily Tasks Listed Below:* MUST HAVE A VALID NEW JERSEY "SUBSTANCE ADDICTION COUNSELOR" LICENSE.-Meet with clients to assess their substance issues-Write treatment and recovery plans:-Identify recovery interference situations-Educate clients on coping mechanisms-Conduct group therapy sessions for patients:-Conduct group therapy sessions for patients:-Track and analyze patient recovery progression: -Help clients plan for discharge from facilities: -Communicate with clients and family members-Craft patient crisis management plans:-Intervene during emergency situations: -Work with clients to find or maintain employment:Please Note:The daily tasks of a LCADC/substance abuse counselor can vary depending on the current/active workload status of the agency.
