Substation Construction Manager

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee a substation project for a significant data center initiative. This long-term project, expected to span multiple years, is located between Rayville and Delhi, LA. The successful candidate will manage subcontractor performance, lead crews to build a substation, and ensure the overall production and quality of the project.

Responsibilities

• Drive subcontractor performance and oversee construction crews.
• Lead a team of up to 25 individuals to ensure quality substation construction.
• Manage overall project production and quality.
• Ensure construction subcontractors adhere to safety, quality, and contractual standards.
• Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
• Conduct standardized reporting and appropriate construction meetings.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in Substation Construction Management.
• Experience in Distribution Construction Management.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution and power delivery.
• Strong skills in construction documentation, QA/QC, and project management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Entergy projects.
• Strong computer and reporting skills.
• Knowledge in transmission, safety, and electrical project management.

Work Environment

The project is set to last over two years, requiring field coordination of subcontractor crews. The typical work schedule consists of 10-hour workdays for five days a week, amounting to over 50 hours weekly. Standard per diem is provided, along with time-and-a-half pay. Holidays and PTO are offered, with vacation hours billed to the customer. The company has a growing footprint with future project opportunities within Entergy and other utilities.

This is a Contract position based out of Covington, LA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
