Substitute for the Before/Afterschool Extended Care program, the shifts are before school approx. 6:15am-9am and afterschool approx. 2:45pm-6pm (earlier start time if minimum day schedule). Minimum 6 units early childhood development or equivalent 48 units or AS AA degree are required.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 units in Early Childhood Education/Child Development OR an AA/AS degree OR 48 college units equivalent required -CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months) -Must pass background check, TB test, and fingerprint clearance -Ability to stand, be in sun for durations of time.
• Copy of Transcript

We are looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic individual to join our Extended Care team. Ideal candidate is available to work at least 2 or more days during the week Monday-Friday from the hours of 2:45 pm - 6:15 pm. The aide will help supervise and engage students in grades TK-8 during before and/or afterschool hours. This is a great role for someone who enjoys working with children in a fun and supportive environment. For those attending college, SJCA offers a flexible work schedule. Hours of before and afterschool program are 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and various schedules between 2:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. In addition we have minimum days that fall as early as 11:30 a.m.. Average hours per day = 3 hours.
