ANNOUNCEMENT OF SERVICE VACANCY

Position: Day-to-Day Substitute Bus Operator

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Pass WV School Bus Driver Written and Skills Tests
  • Hold or complete a CDL Class B with School Bus and Passenger endorsements
  • Complete First Aid and CPR Certifications
  • Pass FBI Criminal Background Review
  • Pass Pre-employment Drug Screening Test
  • Pass WV Department of Motor Vehicle Driving Record Review
  • Pass the State Mandated Medical Physical Examination
  • Random selection Drug and Alcohol Testing after employed
  • Minimum of 21 years of age and 3 years driving experience
  • Must provide a birth certificate
  • Complete a minimum of 40 hours of instructional classes with a WVDE certified trainer
  • Complete a minimum of 12 hours on the road training with a WVDE certified trainer
  • Shall pass physical performance test
  • Must maintain a courteous and professional demeanor
  • Adhere to strong confidentiality standards at all times

Salary: As provided in West Virginia Code 18A-4-8 and 18A-4-8a

Term: Day-to-Day as Needed

Available: 2026-2027 School Year
