Nine Mile Falls School District
Job Title: Substitute Secretary
Step into the School Control Center
Nine Mile Falls School District is seeking Substitute Secretaries who can step into a busy school office and help keep the day moving. The office is where a lot of school life runs through first. Students stop in with questions. Families call for help. Staff need answers. Somewhere in the middle of it all, the phone rings again.
Substitute secretaries help support the regular office staff when they are away. This may mean greeting visitors, answering phones, helping with attendance, supporting staff, or keeping track of the small details that somehow become very important by 9:07 a.m. The work can move quickly, and no two buildings are exactly the same. A calm voice helps. So does being organized. A sense of humor is useful, especially on the days when the copier, the phone, and the intercom all seem to be having separate emergencies. (What's the extension for IT again?)
This role is trusted in a real way. School offices handle private information, student needs, family questions, and the daily rhythm of the building. Substitute secretaries help people feel welcomed, pointed in the right direction, and taken care of. When the office is steady, the whole school feels it.
Come help the school day stay on track, and become part of the team that knows where everyone is supposed to be before everyone else does.
