Valid

Michigan

Speech-Language

Pathology

License

and

American

Speech

Language

Hearing Association

CCC.

Knowledge

of

the

workings

of

a

school

environment,

including

an

understanding

of

the

state

and federal

rules

and

regulations

governing

special

education,

Michigan

Academic

Standards,

district curriculum

and

specially

designed

instruction.

Knowledge

and

skills

in

the

subject

area

of

speech-language

pathology

and

related

(e.g.

Conduct

speech

and

language

evaluations

reevaluations

accordance

state

a

educational

eligibility

special

education,

and

student

progress,

while

maintaining

accurate

case

records

and

required

documentation.

Collaborate

with

families,

general

and

special

education

teachers,

administrators,

and

other

professionals

to

support

students

in

the

least

restrictive

environment,

including

classroom

observation,

curriculum

analysis,

instructional

problem-solving,

and

intervention

planning.

Participate

in

and

facilitate

IEP

and

MET

meetings;

support

augmentative

and

alternative

communication

(AAC)

systems;

provide

staff

training

and

consultation;

and

contribute

to

building-level

and

district-wide

initiatives,

including

MTSS

when

approved

by

administration.

Use

data

to
