Substitute Teacher Arthur Academy

Arthur Academy is a network of small public elementary charter schools that operate in David Douglas, Gresham, Portland, Reynolds, Woodburn and St. Helens school districts.

We are seeking substitute teachers for the current school year.

Job Description includes, but is not limited to, the following:

1.Substitute teachers must implement teacher lesson plans. These lessons will be taught in the form of Direct Instruction curriculum in the areas of reading, spelling, language and math and some Core Knowledge
2.Track student progress from lessons taught that day. 
3.Maintain classroom control and monitor students in other settings, such as lunchroom, playground, etc. 
4.Substitute teachers must also complete a daily report to communicate any pertinent information resulting from the classroom day.


Qualifications:

Oregon Teaching Certificate
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to problem solve with patience and common sense
Ability to meet schedules and deadlines
