Purpose Statement: The substitute will work in the capacity for which they are hired. As a teacher assistant substitute, the individual will follow the lead of the teacher and fulfill all the tasks, which they are assigned. These could be clerical tasks, supervision tasks, and class coverage tasks as needed. As a substitute, the individual must take ownership of the assigned role so that students are always well supervised and well assisted as in the role of teacher assistant. Scope: The position is multifaceted in that the individual takes on the tasks of another staff member who is absent. As a substitute, this person is in constant contact with children, school staff, parents, and church staff. Specific Responsibilities:
