This role is essential to maintaining continuity of learning and fostering a positive educational environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong classroom management skills, adaptability to diverse student needs, and a commitment to delivering engaging, standards-based instruction.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Substitute Teacher will:Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with the provided lesson plan and district policyLead instruction in the classroom by conducting the lesson plans as providedInstruct students in a variety of classroom courses/topicsMotivate students to learn and encourage classroom participationCreate a safe learning environment that is conducive to productive learning and developmentally appropriateAdapt to various learning styles of studentsFor long-term assignments, you may be expected to develop lesson plans and administer/grade assessmentsEducation RequirementsMinimum: Bachelor's degree in any area is required.
