Primary Purpose:

Provide students with appropriate learning activities and help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Any current Active Texas Teaching Certifications.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for the subject and level assigned for long term assignments.
• If you are in an Alternative Certification Program (ACP), please apply for the Non-Certified Guest Educator opening.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Experience working with children preferred.
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• You will be required to complete all required paperwork, submit to a criminal history background check (at your expense), and attend one of the substitute information sessions before you are eligible to substitute teach.
