EMPLOYMENT TERM: Daily contracted services, as needed
QUALIFICATIONS: WV Professional Teaching Certificate or WV Substitute Teaching Permit.
Minimum criteria for a substitute teaching permit in West Virginia includes (but is not limited to)
an associate âs degree (or 60 eligible hours towards completion of a bachelor âs degree), a
cumulative GPA of 2.0, and completion of WVDE initial substitute teacher training.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Applicants who have recent unsatisfactory evaluations will not be eligible for consideration.
Applicants who demonstrate unsatisfactory interview performance are not eligible for consideration.
Applicants who receive unfavorable reference recommendations are not eligible for consideration.
Applicants who have been dismissed or who have had their contracts non-renewed for cause are not eligible for consideration.
SALARY: Professional Subs:

Days 1-10 80% of State Basic Rate w/o Equity w/Degree
Days 11-30 80% of State Basic Rate w/o Equity w/Degree and w/Experience
Days 31 and Up 100% of County Basic Rate w/Equity w/Degree and w/Experience
