We are looking for a caring, responsible, and flexible substitute teacher to help cover classrooms when regular teachers are absent. The substitute will work with children ranging from infants through preschool age, helping maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Stepping into different classrooms as needed throughout the school.
- Assisting with daily routines, including circle time, snack, lunch, outdoor play, and activities.
- Supporting teachers with classroom management and daily activities.
- Helping maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
- Following CELC's routines, policies, and curriculum.
- Providing loving, attentive care and ensuring every child feels safe and included.
Qualifications:
- Must enjoy working with young children.
- Patient, nurturing, dependable, and flexible.
- Comfortable working with different age groups.
- Able to work well as part of a team.
- Previous childcare or preschool experience preferred.
- Must meet all NJ state childcare employment requirements, including required clearances and training.
Schedule: Flexible, as needed, with opportunities for additional hours.
