SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS

1.0 FTE DISTRICT

AVAILABLE SEPTEMBER 2026

THE POSITION

Candidates will provide consistent substitute coverage to students, faculty and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• New Jersey Substitute Teacher Certificate or NJ Instructional Certification. ($125 Fee)
• Teaching experience in English, Math, Science and/or Special Education needed.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident/immigrant status. ($30 fee for Archive request, Total of $79 fee for New fingerprint request) CRIMINAL HISTORY CLEARANCE MUST BE OBTAINED USING OUR SCHOOL AND DISTRICT CODES

NJDOE Substitute Eligibility Requirements:

Completion of 30 semester-hour credits at an accredited college or university

Criminal History Record Check: approval date must be within five months of the application date with "Substitute Teacher" as the job position
