SUMMARY:

The SUD Operations Manager (SOM) provides administrative support to all SUD assigned staff in the region, ensures compliance, and ensures that quality services are provided to clients. The SOM also represents Anew Behavioral Health for the region and builds/maintains relationships with external vendors, providers, and contract personnel. The SOM also will ensure that all regulatory, accreditation, and performance standards are being met.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Recruit, train, and supervise region staff, including clinicians, administrative personnel, case managers, and other SUD assigned staff.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes professional growth and development.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to ensure high performance and accountability.

o If SOM is LPCC or LISW it is the responsibility of the SOM to sign off on notes and provide 1 weekly group supervision.
• Work in collaboration with the billing team to ensure accurate documentation for billing and claims processing.
• Coordinate and participate in quality assurance audits, striving to achieve a minimum score of 80% per site and work quarterly with the Quality Control Team to review quarterly/monthly intake, treatment plan, and ongoing audits.
• Oversee daily operations of Intensive (IOP), Outpatient (OP), and SUD Case Management programs.
• Implement corrective actions and improvements as needed to maintain and enhance service quality.
• Oversee relationships with external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service delivery meets expectations. Also, ensure adherence to evidence-based treatment models and Medicaid/Medicare compliance.
• Monitor contractor performance and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner. Collaborate with the Regional Operations Director and executive team to develop and execute strategies for client acquisition and retention.
• Monitor client census and service utilization to ensure optimal retention and engagement, aiming to achieve a minimum of 50 clients averaging 50 units of service per month per site.
• Provide 16 Hours of Billable Services per week and complete 1 Monthly CEU to be uploaded to the Anew Academy.
• Track staff productivity and service delivery metrics ensuring that billable hour goals are met.
• Cultivate positive relationships with clients, families, referral sources, and community partners to support business growth and client satisfaction. Also, develop and implement strategies to increase client referrals and maintain census goals.
• Promote a positive organizational culture aligned with the agency's values and mission.
• Monitor employee satisfaction and turnover rates, aiming to maintain a turnover ratio of no more than 20% annually.
• Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, morale, and retention.
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation regulations for substance use treatment while ensuring that HIPAA and HIPPA 42CFR Part 2 regulations are followed and met.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervision Given:

The SUDS Operation Manager oversees all SUD Therapists, Case Managers, and Administrative Support Staff for SUD program in assigned sites/region. Will provide clinical oversight if independently licensed.

Supervision Received:

The SUDS Operations Manager reports to the Regional Operations Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

The SOM must have excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written), organizational skills, proficiency in MS Office and ability to utilize online HER and HRIS platforms. The SOM must have knowledge of staff management, SUD Treatment Models (MAT, IOP/OP), and the ability to interpret and apply state and federal regulations. The SOM must also understand and follow HIPAA and HIPAA 42CFR compliance.

Education:

A High school diploma with experience noted below is required. A bachelor's degree in a closely related field is preferred (Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Health, Business Management). Independently licensed clinicians (LISW, LPCC, LICDC) are strongly preferred for supervision duties.

Certification:

None Required

Experience:

Minimum of 2-3 years in a supervisory role within a SUD or mental health setting and 1 year of experience providing direct services to clients in substance use disorder treatment.

Physical Effort:

Requires sitting for long periods of time, viewing computer monitors, and keyboarding. Must be able to lift 20 pounds.

Background:

Must pass all Federal and State background checks. Other background checks will be conducted for licensures and certifications according to company policy.

Schedule:

Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Requires about 25% travel.
