Are you a college student looking to gain real-world business experience this summer? United Mechanical is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Service Sales Intern to join our team in San Jose!

As a Service Sales Intern, you'll gain hands-on exposure to the business side of the commercial HVAC industry, working alongside experienced Account Managers, Service Coordinators, and Service Operations professionals. You'll learn how our teams collaborate to support customers, develop proposals, coordinate projects, and deliver exceptional service.

This is a great opportunity to develop your communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills while gaining valuable experience in sales, business operations, and the mechanical construction industry.

What You'll Do

• Support Sales Activities: Assist Account Managers with preparing estimates, proposals, and sales orders for preventative maintenance agreements, repairs, and equipment replacements.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Service Sales and Operations to support customer needs and help keep projects moving forward.
• Build Customer Relationships: Gain experience communicating with internal teams and external customers while learning the importance of exceptional customer service.
• Assist with Project Coordination: Help prepare product and equipment submittals, organize documentation, and support various sales and administrative activities.
• Gain Industry Experience: Learn about the commercial HVAC service business, including how sales, operations, and project coordination come together to deliver successful outcomes.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Engineering, Sales, Operations, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness to learn.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• A proactive, positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Interest in learning about sales, customer relationships, and business operations.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Previous internship, part-time work, or customer service experience.
• An interest in the construction, mechanical, or commercial HVAC industry.

No prior HVAC experience is necessary. We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow!
