Summary

Oncor Electric Delivery has intern positions that are available to students currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, or in any related field, and are interested in an internship in one of its Supply Chain Organizations, including Sourcing, Technology, Inventory, Equipment Management, and Facilities. The goal of our internship program is to develop skills and provide experience for students pursuing a career in the field of Supply Chain. Oncor is looking for candidates who are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, a self-starter, flexible, a quick learner, highly motivated and a good team player. Accordingly, the job requires effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Directly or through others, the incumbent will:

• Engage within Oncor and externally to develop supply chain strategic plans and business intelligence
• Assist with supplier evaluation and scoring methodology to be used during supplier selection
• Develop communication and reporting strategy to ensure that key stakeholders are kept informed
• Review, communicate, and manage upcoming material requirement needs
• Develop and publish supply chain reports to support budgeting, forecasting, and continuous process improvements
• Monitor supply chain activity and take required actions to meet performance measures
• Establish and maintain business relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including other departments, suppliers, and clients
• Stay abreast of industry and business changes; plan and implement policies and procedures to support industry changes and new technologies
• Test the functionality of new technology applications and practices to ensure no harm to our stakeholders
• Oversee technical support of supply chain applications and systems
• Provide technical assistance, root cause analysis, and recommendations to the Supply Chain organization and internal Oncor customers
• Ensure supply chain activities support Oncor’s Construction, Emergency Restoration, and Program work
• Provide ongoing education to Oncor personnel inside and outside of the Supply Chain organization, including developing and leading workshops
• Participate with various task forces, training and/or ad-hoc committee assignments throughout Oncor
• Develop and maintain proficient computer skills with ERP systems and work management and inventory management tools and software
• Develop and possess organization skills
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Perform other duties as assigned when required

Education, Experience & Skills

• Completed at least 60 course credits toward your Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or another related field, such as Business Management, Business Analytics, Materials Management, Procurement, or Industrial Engineering is preferred.
• • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• Supply chain internship experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
