Summer Camp Counselor

Job Posting Summer Camp Outdoor EducatorCounselor Allandale Farm offers an Outdoor Summer Program for children ages 4-12 for six weeks from June - August. Activities are nature and farm centered taking place entirely outdoors in our rustic environment. Kids explore all corners of our scenic farm as they discover play and make new friends. We are currently hiring experienced nature-loving educators to lead age-specific groups. Our 2025 camp dates run from June 30 - August 8 with a required orientation prior to camp start. Responsibilities During orientation create a tentative schedule consisting of fun and engaging child-centered activities Facilitate and lead fun and engaging child-centered activities using natural resources found on the farm Provide age-appropriate support for campers to encourage cooperative play and work the development of new friendships and socialemotional growth Adhere to all required summer camp safety guidelines and procedures including those specific to outdoor and farm environments. Field-based orientation and first aid certification will be offered prior to the start of camp Ensure safety of all campers including following all healthmedical information provided by families e.g. allergies monitoring camper self-care hydration sunscreen bug repellent etc and reporting medicalsocialemotional concerns to program administrators Communicate with parents as needed at drop-off and pick-up regarding questions related to campers daily experiences Qualifications Experience working with children ideally in educational andor outdoor group environments Proven capacity to lead successful enriching and fun groups Demonstrated behavior management skills Love of nature and the outdoors Ability to collaborate and problem solve with co-workers Ability to spend the day exploring the farm woods and ponds walking 2-3 miles a day and being outside in all weather conditions including hot summer sun and rain Commitment to workplace equity and inclusion measures Adherence to environmentally sustainable workplace practices Current vaccinations and boosters A commitment to all 30 days of summer camp is required for employment Compensation 18-25hour wage based on experience 25 employee discount at our market for the duration of employment Sustainable transportation and farm vegetable benefits To apply email your resume and a brief explanation of why youre a good fit for our unique program to beckyallandalefarm.com Rev. 32026
