Summer Intern - Energy Systems Delivery Stream

About the role:

As a Energy Systems Delivery Stream Engineering Intern you will work with engineers, project managers, and supply chain professionals to help deliver some of the worlds largest clean energy infrastructure projects. You will receive hands-on exposure to supplier engagement, project execution, technical evaluations, and engineering procurement within the APx Large Structures organization.

You will report to the WBS 1, Containment Vessel & Shield Building Procurement Senior Manager and be located at our Cranberry, PA facility. This is a paid full-time onsite position for the summer, May - August 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support supplier identification, qualification, and technical evaluations
• Help with Request for Quotation (RFQ) package development
• Prepare and revise technical and procurement documentation
• Track supplier action items and important deliverables
• Support supplier submittal review and management activities
• Support weekly project and leadership updates
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams
• Analyze data and develop recommendations to support team goals
• Gain exposure to domestic and international supplier relationships
• Lead a focused summer project addressing a business need
• Present project results and recommendations to team leadership

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelors degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Engineering or a related technical field
• Completed Sophomore year of college
• Experience with or interest in Power BI

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $23.00 to $26.30 per hour.
