Superintendent

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations for ground-up commercial construction projects.
• Manage all phases of construction, including sitework, foundations, concrete, structural steel, building envelope, MEP systems, and interior finishes.
• Develop and maintain short-term and long-term project schedules.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
• Conduct daily site walks and ensure work is progressing according to schedule.
• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards across the jobsite.
• Monitor quality control and ensure all work complies with project specifications.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers to achieve budget and schedule goals.
• Identify and resolve field challenges while minimizing impacts to project delivery.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and communicate project expectations.
• Maintain daily reports, progress updates, and construction documentation.
• Oversee punch list completion, commissioning activities, and project closeout.

A successful Building and Construction Superintendent should have:

• 2+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction.
• Proven success leading ground-up commercial construction projects valued at $5M+.
• Strong knowledge of site development, concrete, structural steel, and commercial building systems.
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors and coordinating complex project schedules.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Working knowledge of scheduling software and construction management platforms.
• OSHA 30 Certification required or ability to obtain.
• Strong understanding of quality control, safety compliance, and project sequencing.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
