Superintendent (Civil)

Structure Resources is seeking a Site Manager for a direct-hire opportunity with our client, a nationally recognized, 100% employee-owned civil construction contractor. This company performs complex civil projects for industrial, petrochemical, energy, public, federal, and rail clients throughout the United States and is known for its strong commitment to safety, quality, customer service, and employee development.

We’re looking for an experienced Site Manager who can provide on-site leadership for assigned industrial and petrochemical projects. This individual will oversee crews, coordinate daily field activities, communicate with clients, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements.

This is a salaried, travel-based position offering a company vehicle allowance, iPad, laptop, and cell phone.

Salary Range: $100,000–$130,000

What They’re Looking For

• Previous experience leading crews on civil, industrial, petrochemical, or heavy construction projects

• Experience with underground utilities, including water, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and associated structures

• Experience with forming, pouring, and finishing horizontal and vertical concrete structures

• Working knowledge of heavy construction equipment and safe operating practices

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License

• Clean driving record

• High school diploma, GED, or trade school certificate preferred

• Strong understanding of construction-site safety, equipment inspections, truck maintenance, and applicable regulations

• Ability to manage multiple crews, coordinate future work, and resolve jobsite issues

• Strong client communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills

• Experience with HCSS Heavy Job or similar project-management and production-tracking software preferred

• Ability to obtain OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certifications before beginning work

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical examination

• Comfortable working an average of 45–60 hours per week, including evenings and weekends when required

• Willing and able to travel for extended periods to out-of-town and out-of-state project sites

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site leadership for assigned industrial and petrochemical projects and crews

• Ensure compliance with company safety practices, project requirements, and jobsite procedures

• Lead daily safety briefings, Task Hazard Analyses, SLAM documentation, equipment inspections, and pre-work stretching

• Develop, coordinate, and execute upcoming work for multiple crews to maintain project schedules

• Oversee the safe and efficient installation of water, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and associated structures

• Direct concrete activities, including forming, pouring, and finishing horizontal and vertical structures

• Ensure heavy construction equipment is operated safely and efficiently

• Track daily production, crew hours, equipment hours, and job progress using HCSS Heavy Job

• Communicate with clients and provide updates regarding project progress, scheduling, and field conditions

• Purchase and coordinate materials for each phase of the project

• Monitor project costs, productivity, quality, and schedule performance

• Review and prepare site reports, drawings, and project documentation

• Maintain quality-control checks and address field issues as they arise

• Support hiring by conducting interviews and making recommendations

• Provide performance, promotion, and termination recommendations for assigned crew members

• Travel between project sites as required

Location

This is a traveling position supporting industrial and petrochemical projects throughout the United States. The Site Manager must be comfortable working extended assignments away from home based on project needs.

Work is performed primarily on active construction sites in varying weather and terrain conditions. The position requires regular standing and walking, repetitive motion, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
