Description
- Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to maintain productivity and meet critical project milestones.
- Lead daily site meetings, coordinate work schedules, and communicate progress, potential delays, and project requirements to stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, ensuring construction activities are sequenced efficiently.
- Enforce site safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
- Monitor quality control and ensure all work meets design specifications, building codes, and relevant healthcare construction requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and owners to resolve field issues and maintain project progress.
- Manage inspections, documentation, RFIs, and punch-list activities through to project closeout.
- Oversee infection control measures, site logistics, and operational considerations associated with active healthcare environments, where applicable.
Profile
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent with a commercial general contractor.
- Demonstrated experience delivering healthcare construction projects, including hospital, medical office, healthcare renovation, or similar facilities.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project scheduling, subcontractor management, and field operations.
- Knowledge of healthcare construction standards, infection prevention protocols, and working within occupied medical facilities, where applicable.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, quality control procedures, and construction documentation.
- Proficiency with construction management software, such as Procore, and scheduling tools.
- Ability to coordinate multiple trades and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.
