Job Description

The Superintendent - Commercial Construction - Richmond, VA will:

• Lead daily field operations on ground-up and renovation commercial construction projects.
• Manage project schedules and coordinate subcontractor activities to ensure milestones are achieved.
• Enforce site safety standards and cultivate a culture focused on jobsite safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, design teams, and trade partners throughout the construction process.
• Identify construction challenges proactively and develop effective solutions to maintain project momentum.
• Monitor quality control efforts and ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications.
• Coordinate inspections and maintain project documentation.
• Drive project completion while maintaining budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
• Utilize construction management software, including Procore, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to field teams and subcontractors.

The Successful Applicant

• 3-5+ years of experience serving as a Lead Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
• Proven experience managing ground-up construction projects valued at $10M+ from start to finish.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction means, methods, and sequencing.
• Demonstrated success implementing and enforcing jobsite safety programs.
• Ability to solve complex construction challenges and adapt to changing project conditions.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience coordinating and managing multiple subcontractor trades.
• Working knowledge of Procore, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office.
• Self-motivated professional with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• General Contractor experience required.
