Superintendent - Construction - Manhattan
Our client is a premier luxury residential General Contractor known for delivering some of Manhattan's most sophisticated interior renovations. Their portfolio includes penthouse gut renovations, historic brownstone restorations, duplex combinations, and co-op remodels featuring intricate millwork, custom finishes, and architect-driven designs.
As a Superintendent - Construction - Manhattan, you will be responsible for:
- Managing all day-to-day field operations on luxury residential renovation projects
- Supervising subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
- Maintaining project schedules and driving milestone completion
- Coordinating architects, designers, consultants, and ownership teams
- Overseeing custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, metal, and specialty finish installations
- Managing co-op and condominium renovation requirements and logistics
- Conducting quality control inspections throughout all phases of construction
- Leading jobsite safety meetings and ensuring OSHA compliance
- Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
- Coordinating material procurement, deliveries, and site logistics
- Identifying and resolving field issues proactively
- Maintaining daily reports, schedules, and project documentation
The successful candidate will have:
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience in construction
- Extensive experience managing high-end residential interior renovations
- Proven experience with penthouses, brownstones, duplexes, co-ops, townhouses, or luxury apartments
- Strong understanding of custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, and specialty finishes
- Experience working in occupied residential buildings and high-end environments
- Knowledge of co-op and condominium renovation procedures
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Strong scheduling and subcontractor management skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred
