Superintendent - Construction - Manhattan
Our client is a premier luxury residential General Contractor specializing in some of New York City's most sophisticated interior renovation projects. Their portfolio includes penthouse gut renovations, landmark brownstone restorations, duplex combinations, and custom townhouse renovations featuring bespoke millwork, premium finishes, and architect-driven designs.
As a Superintendent - Construction - Manhattan, you will be responsible for:
- Managing all day-to-day field operations on luxury residential renovation projects
- Supervising subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
- Maintaining project schedules and driving milestone completion
- Coordinating architects, interior designers, consultants, and ownership teams
- Overseeing custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, plaster, metal, and specialty finish installations
- Conducting quality control inspections throughout all phases of construction
- Managing occupied-building logistics and coordinating with co-op and condo boards
- Leading daily safety meetings and ensuring OSHA compliance
- Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
- Coordinating material procurement, deliveries, and site logistics
- Identifying and resolving field issues proactively
- Maintaining daily reports, schedules, and project documentation
- Managing punch-list completion and successful project turnover

The successful candidate will have:
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience in construction
- Extensive experience managing high-end residential interior renovations
- Proven experience with brownstones, penthouses, duplexes, townhouses, or luxury apartment renovations
- Strong understanding of custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, plaster, and specialty finishes
- Experience working directly with luxury homeowners, architects, and interior designers
- Knowledge of co-op and condominium renovation procedures and requirements
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Strong scheduling and subcontractor management abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred
