Our client is a premier luxury residential General Contractor specializing in sophisticated interior renovations throughout Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. Their portfolio includes penthouse gut renovations, brownstone restorations, duplex combinations, and custom townhome projects featuring high-end millwork, bespoke finishes, and architect-led designs.
Job Description
As a Superintendent - Construction - Queens, you will be responsible for:
- Managing all day-to-day field operations on high-end residential renovation projects
- Supervising subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
- Maintaining project schedules and driving milestone completion
- Coordinating architects, interior designers, consultants, and ownership teams
- Overseeing custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, metal, and specialty finish installations
- Conducting quality control inspections throughout all phases of construction
- Managing occupied-building and residential neighborhood logistics
- Leading jobsite safety meetings and ensuring OSHA compliance
- Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
- Coordinating material deliveries and site logistics
- Identifying and resolving field issues proactively
- Maintaining daily reports, schedules, and project documentation
- Managing punch-list completion and project turnover

The Successful Applicant
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience in construction
- Extensive experience managing high-end residential interior renovations
- Proven experience with brownstones, penthouses, duplexes, townhomes, or luxury apartment renovations
- Strong understanding of custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, plaster, and specialty finishes
- Experience working directly with homeowners, architects, and interior designers
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Strong scheduling and subcontractor management experience
- Experience working in occupied residential environments
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality control standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred
