Superintendent, Wet Utilities (Sewer, Water, Storm Drain)
Boudreau Pipeline | Corona, CA | Full time | Salary: $120,000-$145,000
You've spent years in the trench, and you know how a good job runs: the right materials on site, crews that are trained and safe, inspections lined up, and a schedule that holds. Here you'd lead the crews and the jobs, backed by a company that wants its field leaders to grow.
Boudreau Pipeline is a Southern California underground utility contractor based in Corona. We install sewer, water, and storm drain systems and handle SUE work, for private developers and public agencies alike. We're hiring a Superintendent to plan, coordinate, and supervise our Foremen and crews and to keep our customers happy with the way the work gets done.
What you'll do
- Plan each job so materials, equipment, and inspections support the schedule.
- Review construction documents for completeness and constructability, and work with design engineers to resolve discrepancies.
- Help build and manage the project schedule, including three and six week look-aheads, and develop the site logistics plan.
- Manage the use of company tools, equipment, and materials.
- Run on-site orientations, pre-construction planning sessions, and project meetings.
- Supervise Foremen and crews, and track work progress and craft productivity.
- Make sure work hours are coded correctly on time cards.
- Coach, train, and evaluate Foremen and crew members. This includes career development conversations, interviews as needed, and discipline when it's called for.
- Work closely with the project team and office staff to keep the job productive.
- Lead tailgate safety meetings, make sure everyone is trained before starting a task, and make sure PPE and safety rules are followed.
- Report accidents, injuries, and incidents right away, and make sure injured employees get medical attention and the paperwork gets done.
- Keep the job site clean and safe, including equipment, bin area, laydown space, and supplies.
- Manage safety, quality, risk, and compliance for the project, and spot ways to improve how we work.
What you bring
- At least 8 years of underground pipeline construction experience, with a heavy emphasis on wet utilities, including at least 2 years supervising crews.
- A track record running multiple complex projects at once.
- Flexibility when priorities and timelines shift, plus strong problem-solving, time management, and follow-through.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and spoken communication, good listening, and a professional manner with a diverse crew.
- The ability to follow and write routine documents and multi-step instructions in English.
- Good record-keeping and organization.
- A valid California driver's license and a good driving record.
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil or Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management is preferred.
