Monday - Friday ( Some Saturdays ) Full Time Position
Pay Scale - $100,000 - $150,000 / Annually DOE*
- Essential Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 20 years' experience in Heavy Highway construction projects. DOT experience is required.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documents.
- Bridge experience is a plus.
- Must have experience with excavation, asphalt paving, concrete work, earth works / site prep.
- Effective communication skills.
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug test
- Valid Driver's License.
- Must have dependable transportation to work
- Advanced knowledge of construction scheduling, cost control, and supervision of large groups.
- Strong organization, multi-tasking, leadership, and decision-making ability.
- Basic computer skills required.
Responsibilities:
- Plans and supervises all construction activities, equipment resources, manpower levels, and work schedules.
- Develops a thorough understanding of the Contract plans and specifications. Ensuring that all materials and workmanship conform with the required provisions and specifications.
- Actively supervise and assist the Project Foreman of all assigned project sites throughout the work shift.
- Assists Project Manager creating and maintaining project schedules, while monitoring critical path dates and milestones.
- Communicates site issues effectively to the Project Manager and owner.
- Ensure Project proceeds on schedule and budget.
- Proactively identifies and resolves field construction problems.
- Actively evaluates safety effectiveness and implements corrective measures.
- Monitors project equipment needs, utilization, and maintenance.
- Ability to trouble-shoot and triage equipment issues and failures.
- Assists Project Manager with subcontractor disputes, quality control, and schedule coordination.
- Works with Project Manager to ensure work compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Supports Project Manager in negotiation of claims and changes.
- Provides input to Project Manager on cost and schedule forecasts.
- Performs project close-out and ensures timely completion of punch lists.
- Performs additional assignments as directed by upper management.
