Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Superintendent - Electrical is responsible for managing the financial, physical, and human resources associated with the maintenance and operation of electrical systems and equipment supporting Treatment facilities. The position provides direct supervision and technical leadership to assigned electrical staff, including employee development, training, work assignments, and performance management. The Superintendent is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of medium-voltage electrical equipment up to 13.2 kV, including switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, motor starters, motors, protective relays, and electrical distribution equipment. The position plans and prioritizes electrical maintenance activities, allocates resources, coordinates projects and emergency response, and works with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Special Projects, contractors, vendors, and other internal groups to support safe and reliable Treatment operations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is subject to standing, sitting, walking, climbing, bending, and kneeling to perform essential functions. Working conditions are in an office and field environment. Field environment has frequent exposure to inclement weather; wastewater; mechanical, electrical, chemical and confined space hazards; offensive fumes; excessive noise; heavy traffic; deep excavations; and animals, snakes and poisonous insects. May be required to comply with requirements as specified in applicable regulations for personal protective equipment, including clearance for use of respiratory protection and other associated equipment. Operates a company vehicle on a daily basis.
May be required to work other than regular schedule such as days, nights, weekends, holidays and on-call.

Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management, Construction Management, Science, Public Administration or related field from an institution accredited by a recognized accrediting agency plus five years' progressive experience in construction, water, wastewater or specialty work environment listed such as electrical; OR eight years' of progressive experience in construction, water, wastewater or specialty work environment such as electrical.
