    Description

    Build Projects That Matter
    East & Westbrook Construction is seeking an experienced General Contracting Superintendent to lead the field execution of commercial, industrial, and specialty construction projects. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day jobsite operations, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, maintaining project schedules, ensuring quality workmanship, and driving a strong safety culture. We are looking for a hands-on leader who can solve problems, communicate effectively with owners and subcontractors, and keep projects moving safely, on schedule, and on budget.
     
    What You'll Do
    • Manage all day-to-day field operations on assigned construction projects.
    • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
    • Monitor project schedules and drive progress toward key milestones.
    • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
    • Ensure work is completed according to plans, quality standards, and project requirements.
    • Conduct safety meetings, jobsite inspections, and hazard assessments.
    • Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and schedule impacts.
    • Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
    • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Owners throughout project execution.
    • Complete daily reports, project documentation, and progress updates.
    • Manage material deliveries, site logistics, and workforce planning.
    • Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, safety, and teamwork.
    What We're Looking For
    Required Qualifications
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • 5+ years of superintendent experience in commercial, industrial, manufacturing, institutional, or general construction projects.
    • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, scheduling, and sequencing.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
    • Proven ability to lead subcontractors and field teams.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
    • OSHA 30 certification.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
    • Experience managing large commercial or industrial construction projects.
