Overview:
The Mission Critical Superintendent is responsible for the overall on‑site execution of complex, high‑reliability construction projects where schedule discipline, quality, and system performance are paramount. This role leads all field operations—civil, structural, architectural, and MEP—while coordinating closely with Project Managers and MEP leadership to deliver facilities built for continuous operation and zero tolerance for failure.
The Superintendent establishes the pace, culture, and expectations on site, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and to Brinkmann’s highest standards from mobilization through final turnover.

Responsibilities:
- Lead all day‑to‑day field operations for mission‑critical construction projects.
- Manage and coordinate site development, core and shell construction, and building envelope activities to ensure quality, schedule, and safety compliance.
- Establish site logistics, phasing plans, and workforce coordination strategies.
- Maintain ownership of jobsite execution, productivity, and accountability.
- Champion a safety‑first culture across all trades and scopes of work.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and daily safety planning.
- Enforce quality standards across structural, architectural, and MEP work.
- Coordinate complex construction sequencing across multiple scopes.
- Partner with MEP Superintendents and Project Managers to manage system integration risks.
- Support system readiness, testing, and turnover activities as required.
- Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules and look‑ahead plans.
- Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and pull planning sessions.
- Identify schedule risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and support Assistant Superintendents and field staff.
- Build strong trade partner relationships based on accountability and trust.
- Promote Brinkmann’s culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent on large, complex commercial or mission‑critical projects.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary field teams in high‑pressure environments.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, logistics, and risk management.
- Experience working alongside MEP leaders on technically complex projects preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Working Conditions:
- The Superintendent’s work is primarily performed outdoors in various weather conditions with exposure to health or safety hazards, including noise levels may ranging from moderate to loud.
- Physical effort is required, including the handling of objects up to 50 pounds and frequent standing, walking, sitting, talking and/or hearing.
- While performing the essential functions of this position, the individual may use hands to handle, control or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
- Individual work location will change or vary and/or position may require travel.
- Environment will be demanding and fast paced; number of hours typically worked in a workweek may exceed 40 hours per week.
