Description
Education and/or Experience: A relevant technical degree and eight (8) years of full-time experience as a technical specialist in a construction or design related field, four (4) of those years must have been involved in the management of all phases of construction work on new and renovation projects.
Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate construction inspection activities from project inception to close out.
Prepare and maintain clear and concise project documentation (daily inspection reports, progress photos, RFIs, change orders, etc.).
Review contractors work in place to ensure compliance with contract documents.
Coordinate the efforts of multiple contractors, trade subcontractors, and suppliers.
Review project schedule updates and report on construction progress.
Manage field work to successful and timely completion.
Monitor contractors required compliance with approved Site Safety Plan.
Coordinate third-party inspections.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, building occupants, AOR/EOR, and contractors.
Qualifications
Must Haves
Eight (8) years combined education and experience successfully managing all phases of construction work.
Bachelors degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management.
Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Adobe).
A high level of integrity and interpersonal skills.
Ability to take charge and effectively manage contractor trades.
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
Management skills to enforce contractors compliance with the contract documents.
A Commitment to providing outstanding client service while working collectively as part of a team.
Availability to work second shift (after 3pm) nights and weekends if needed.
Preferred
NYC DOB Superintendents License.
Experience utilizing cloud-based Project Management Information Systems (eBuilder, Procore, etc.).
Note: Physical requirements may include walking and standing during the shift, climbing stairs, bending, push and pull objects, life, and move objects (up to 50 lbs.), repetitive bending and lifting, and repetitive arm movements.
