McGill Restoration is now seeking a Superintendent to join our team! The Superintendent is responsible for leading field operations on assigned projects, ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently achieved. This role oversees jobsite execution, resource coordination, and crew leadership while maintaining alignment with project budgets, schedules, and specifications. Superintendents are expected to build high-performing teams, model McGill Restoration's core values, and foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Oversight
- Lead, mentor, and hold Foremen and field crews accountable to expectations
- Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and adherence to policies and procedures
- Support employee growth and concerns through training, coaching, and performance reviews
- Engage with clients on jobsites to represent McGill Restoration professionally, build strong relationships, and identify opportunities to expand project scope or secure additional work
Daily Operations
- Maintain consistent communication with teams, clients, and leadership through calls, emails, and meetings
- Participate in scheduling, crew placement, and project updates in Procore
- Conduct jobsite walkthroughs to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production standards
- Review project specifications and provide planning, coordination, and problem-solving suppport
- Assist in mobilizing equipment, materials, and manpower to projects as needed, utilizing company-assigned vehicles
- Monitor progress through timecards, cost codes, and digital reporting tools
Weekly & Project Oversight
- Review and approve timecards, reconcile credit card usage, and oversee budget tracking
- Manage subcontractors, material usage, permits, and equipment delivery
- Participate in planning and logistics meetings to align field operations with project requirements
- Lead project kick-off and closeout activities, including materials lists, equipment planning, and lessons learned
Operational Accountability & Compliance
- Ensure equipment, vehicles, and job site assets are maintained and in good working condition
- Uphold compliance with company SOPs, safety protocols, and reporting standards
- Partner with Estimator/Project Managers and Operations staff to address risks, delays, and process improvements
- Resolve conflicts with clients, subcontractors, and employees in a professional, solutions-focused manner
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in construction management or related field, preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of field experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and safety practices
- Proficiency with project management and reporting tools (Procore, UKG, Fleetio)
- Proven ability to lead teams, resolve conflict, and deliver results
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry best practices
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
- Flexibility and the capacity to make timely decisions and prioritize when new information or opportunities are presented
- High accuracy in work; attention to detail
- The ability to travel as needed for current projects and opportunities
