We are hiring an experienced construction professional to serve in a combined role as Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, and Site Safety and Health Officer on a federal construction project in the Aurora/Denver, CO area. Two concurrent project scopes — window replacement and a large mechanical project — will run at the same jobsite and may overlap in schedule. The selected candidate will serve in all three capacities for the Prime Contractor and be responsible for site operations, quality control, and safety throughout the duration of the work.
Lead day-to-day site operations as Superintendent across both project scopes, managing subcontractors, schedule, and on-site activities
Implement and maintain the project Quality Control Plan as QCM, performing inspections and documenting compliance with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers quality standards
Serve as the designated SSHO for the Prime Contractor, ensuring all activities comply with OSHA standards and applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations
Implement and maintain a comprehensive site-specific Accident Prevention Plan
Conduct daily safety inspections, hazard analyses, and toolbox talks with all site personnel
Enforce compliance with safety protocols and address unsafe behaviors or conditions immediately
Maintain comprehensive QC and safety documentation, including daily reports, inspection records, SDS, incident logs, near-miss reports, and corrective actions
Serve as the liaison between the Prime Contractor, government representatives, subcontractors, and workers regarding quality and safety matters
Manage concurrent project timelines and overlapping crew activities across both scopes
Minimum 5 years of experience on similar construction projects, including large-scale work
Completion of the OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Course, obtained within the last 5 years
Construction Quality Control Certificate from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Demonstrated experience managing site operations, quality control, and safety on active construction projects
Familiarity with 29 CFR 1926 and federal construction safety standards
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and manage the combined Superintendent / QCM / SSHO responsibilities for the duration of the project
EM 385-1-1 certification
Experience supporting federal government construction projects
Prior experience with window replacement scopes
Prior experience with mechanical construction projects
Competitive hourly rate of $45 – $50/hr, based on experience and certifications
