Job Title: Superintendent - Mechanical Piping, Plumbing & Sheetmetal - Texas

Location: Multiple Texas markets, including North Texas and the Gulf Coast
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $40.00 - $62.00 per hour

Role Overview

The Superintendent provides overall leadership and direction to field supervision and craft personnel on assigned projects, covering piping, plumbing, and sheet metal teams. This role oversees day-to-day field operations to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with the company's quality and cost-efficiency standards.

The Superintendent partners closely with project leadership to drive productivity, coordinate resources, and support successful project delivery, and serves as the senior field authority on manpower, scheduling, and quality across assigned projects. Openings exist across multiple Texas markets, and market preference is discussed during the interview process.

This role may be filled at varying levels based on the candidate's skills, experience, and overall qualifications. Final title, level, and compensation will be determined through the interview and assessment process and will be aligned with internal equity and external market benchmarks.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide overall field leadership on assigned projects across piping, plumbing, and sheet metal crews, and serve as the senior technical advisor in the field
• Plan, direct, and coordinate craft personnel against the field's fluctuating labor needs, and coordinate manpower and material needs with project leadership
• Direct, support, and mentor foremen and general foremen, assess their skills, and coach field supervision
• Own safety in the field: implement and interpret safety policies and programs, and participate in safety and incident investigations and reviews
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality control programs on assigned projects
• Participate in the conceptual development of a project and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation
• Resolve matters relating to work procedures, complaints, damages, accidents, and delays, and settle conflicts between crews and other trades
• Requisition supplies and materials, and assist with difficult construction or start-up problems
• Prepare and submit labor and cost tracking reports for assigned projects

Required Background

• Completion of a craft apprenticeship program, or equivalent skill level and training
• Minimum of 8 years in a supervisory position in the field
• High school degree or equivalent; some college preferred
• OSHA-30 certification, or the ability to obtain it within six months from date of hire
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of OSHA safety regulations as well as company safety policies and procedures
• Hands-on knowledge of mechanical, piping, plumbing, or sheet metal field installation methods
• Ability to understand project scopes and objectives as well as the scopes of other construction trades
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications
• Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control
• This role is available to candidates located near our active Texas locations and sites, including Dallas, Carrollton, Fort Worth, Haltom City, and Houston
• Experience across more than one of the mechanical, piping, plumbing, and sheet metal trades (Preferred)
• Hyperscale data center, hospital, life sciences, or high-rise commercial project experience (Preferred)
• Experience supporting prefabrication and modular construction delivery (Preferred)
• Bilingual English and Spanish (Preferred)
