Job Title: Supervisor, Business Operations

Division: Pediatrics

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Location: Houston, TX

Salary Range: $70,618 - $83,080

FLSA Status: Exempt

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Summary

This position manages the daily business operations of the Pediatric Cardiology Medicine Division. Working closely with the Cardiology Division Chief, TCH Affiliate Administrative Partners, and Pediatrics Administration to recommend and implement process improvements and help ensure short- and long-term business goals are met. This position is heavily relied upon by Pediatrics Administration for alignment on financial activities (e.g., budgets, contracts, grants) and all human resource related activities. This individual is also expected to liaise and align closely with TCH Cardiology Affiliate partners. It is important for selected candidate to have good communication skills, financial management skills, strategic thinking skills, relationship building skills.

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of the Pediatric Cardiology Division.
  • Prepare and monitor the Division''s annual budgets for both BCM and TCH make-whole and oversee and monthly reconciliation for Division financial accounts. (30%)
  • Oversee approval for financial activities in S4 Hana, travel requests, reimbursements, purchase orders, and other financial requests. Assume responsibility for Division Corporate card to assure policy adherence, appropriate use, and reconciliation. (20%)
  • Mentor and supervise 7 BCM office support staff, directing their work activities and administering goals and performance evaluations as well as 7 TCH office support staff. (10%)
  • Manage the human resource activities related to recruitment, new hires and on-boarding, terminations, salary or FTE changes for faculty and staff. (10%)
  • Collaborate closely with the Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Coordinators on all fellowship-related decisions. (10%)
  • Provide oversight and cross coverage for call schedule administration in QGenda. (10%)
  • Oversee and coordinate special events. (5%)
  • Implement and ensure compliance with both BCM and TCH policies through clear communication. (5%)
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
