About the Role
The primary purpose of the Supervisor Distribution position is to assist in planning, organizing, and supervising the day-to-day operations of General Store/Peri-op Warehouse and/or Shipping & Receiving Mail.
Supervises and coordinates the activities of the assigned area along with staff involved in receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and distributing a wide variety of mail and medical supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees personnel, receiving of goods, storeroom inventory, and supply chain distribution throughout University Hospital including but not limited to nursing units, disaster carts, code carts, isolation carts, etc.
- Assists with the placement of stock in appropriate bins, shelves, racks and other receptacles and areas to ensure orderliness and safety; ensures that all necessary precautions are taken to guard the stock against spillage, deterioration, loss, theft, and fire and maintains the cleanliness of stockrooms.
- Verifies requisitions for accuracy, and monitors orders coming in and going out of the warehouse to ensure proper processes have been followed.
- Performs daily rounds on the nursing units, routinely checking expiration dates, and ensuring that Materials Management personnel are fulfilling their job responsibilities.
- Is responsible for overseeing incoming and outgoing Shipping & Receiving/Mail Services activities at University Hospital to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications:
What You’ll Bring
Required:
- High school Diploma or GED required plus two (2) years of experience in stockroom/warehouse work, including obtaining, recording, storing, safeguarding, and issuing various types of equipment, materials, mail and supplies and keeping of detailed records thereof.
Preferred:
- One (1) year of experience in supervisor or lead capacity preferred.

Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is SH/18C - $24.48 - $30.06 - $35.61 in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
