Position Summary
 
The Supervisor, Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of building, grounds and machine maintenance, ensuring the effective functioning of facility systems. This role supervises maintenance staff and coordinates the installation, inspection, repair, and upkeep of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems. The position ensures all work meets established service, safety, and quality standards while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The Supervisor, Maintenance also manages preventative maintenance schedules and may coordinate with contractors and skilled trades for specialized work.
 
Essential Functions
  • Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities across building systems and grounds.
  • Oversee staff responsible for installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining facility systems, including machinery, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems.
  • Develop and Maintain performance KPI’s
  • Track and manage work orders to ensure timely and high-quality completion in accordance with service standards.
  • Schedule and supervise preventative maintenance tasks, including machine readiness, painting, carpentry, and routine inspections.
  • Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with contractors and skilled trades personnel as needed for specialized maintenance and repair work.
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies or equipment required for maintenance operations.
  • Provide leadership, training, and support to maintenance staff, fostering professional development and team performance.
  • Oversee facility cleaning activities, ensuring buildings, production areas, offices, and grounds are maintained in a clean, orderly, and operationally efficient condition.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred; Associate degree in engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facility maintenance or a related area as an individual contributor.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role within a facilities or maintenance team.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in tracking work orders and using maintenance management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and other applicable safety and compliance regulations.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop and reach with arms and hands frequently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to follow all safety requirements.
  • Ability to work in small areas to observe and/or perform the work.
  • Ability to climb step ladders, work platforms as needed.
