Job Summary

Supports DoD ammunition production programs by supervising procurement activities that ensure timely, cost‑effective acquisition of goods and services. The role negotiates supplier terms, secures volume discounts, establishes long‑term agreements, and processes requisitions and purchase orders across multiple purchasing disciplines. This position maintains compliance, strengthens supplier relationships, and supports both customer-driven programs and internal operational needs.

• Analyses information to solve on-going problems and implements procedures and approaches to complete work

Essential Functions

• Supervises daily procurement and purchasing operations and implements the strategy to provide the materials and services to meet organizational requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing.
• Maintains strategic supplier relationships, negotiates pricing, monitors performance, and expedites to respond to changes in demand or disruptions in the supply chain.
• Collaborates with other functions to meet current and future inventory requirements and manage inventory levels.
• Utilizes technical tools to analyze data and increase responsiveness to material demands.
• Performs auditing processes to ensure procurement and recordkeeping comply with any applicable industry or governmental regulations.
• Leads and manages the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers.

Required Qualifications

• Required education and experience: Associate''s Degree and 3-5 years'' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
• Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
• Discipline: Business, Supply Chain Management or related degree
• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Leadership skills. Decision-making skills. Oral and written communication skills. Analytical thinking skills. Detail oriented. Ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience and use of IFS software.
• Experience in a DoD manufacturing environment. FAR / DFARS / CPSR requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time
• Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Travel Requirements

Less than 25% travel likely.
