Supervise and coordinate the activitiesof program staff including development, implementation and evaluation ofthe programservices offered.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the patient of the program.
Assist with development and implementation of operating policies and procedures for the program, ensuring that procedures and workflow are consistent with program objectives, protocol, regulations and standards, as well as that operations conform to established environmental, safety, and infection control requirements.
Develop and implement treatment or care plans, as well as develop and patient maintain charts and records. Provide direct routine assessment and treatment, including clinical procedures, as required, within the parameters of the program.
Assist in the selection, training and assessment of staff, may provide feedback for performance reviews and assessments.
Provide education to patients, their families, staff or other practitioners within area of specialty.
Serve as liaison and provide consultation on issues, regulations and standards pertaining to area of specialty.
May participate in the implementation of plans for the marketing and promotion of program services to the targeted population.
As appropriate, provide outreach services to the community in area of clinical specialty.
May be required to provide transportation.
Provide guidance and direction to staff and encourage/build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members.
Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in human services field required.
Two or more years' experience working with the population of the facility required.
One or more years’ supervisory experience preferred.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
Licensed counselor/therapist, as required by the state and for the area of clinical expertise. Valid driver's license if required by the facility.
CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
First aid may be required based on state or facility.
ADDITIONAL REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:
For Resource Treatment Facility a bachelor’s degree in a human service area of study and two years of experience in a professional capacity in a child welfare agency or therapeutic setting that serves children. Minimum 21 years of age. Clinical license not required for this position.
