Supervisor - Tax and Business Services

Position Mission: Responsible for achieving and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction by providing tax and various accounting services to clients, while supervising, developing and mentoring staff.Local Candidates Only PleaseHow will you achieve this mission?Prepare complex business tax returns and financial statement engagementsResearch client questions and provide useful business adviceServe as a resource by reviewing tax returns and financial statementsAssume increasing levels of responsibility for managing clients and be a relationship managerDevelop and execute a Personal Marketing PlanIncrease attendance at client eventsIdentify niches or sectors in which to develop contacts, begin attending non-client events in these niches or sectors, and/or begin active membership in relevant associationsParticipate in new client proposalsServe as a mentor to team members, provide critical and constructive feedback, and keep team members supplied with work=Evaluate performance of Staff and Senior Accountants and recommend training needsSupervise Staff and Senior Accountants on larger engagementsWhat will you need to achieve this mission?Minimum of four (4) years of progressive accounting experience leading to and/or related to the duties and responsibilities specifiedProficiency in Microsoft OfficeProficient in CCH Axcess Tax and Document SoftwarePrior supervisory experience desiredDemonstrated knowledge of GAAPDemonstrated effective teamwork and leadership skillsPossess excellent written and verbal communication skillsPrevious experience working in a public accounting firm is desiredWegner provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.Please be aware that as part of our hiring process, Wegner CPAs participates in E-Verify.
